About Us
Who We Are
The Art of War Open brings together the competitive expertise of Art of War, and VCL Events’ commitment to high-quality, player-focused Warhammer 40,000 events in the UK.
Our goal is simple: to create events where players can compete, enjoy their hobby and have a great weekend in a comfortable environment designed around the player experience. Expect top-tier tournament organisation and judging, high-quality terrain, plenty of space between gaming tables, and an air-conditioned hotel venue with an on-site bar.
With gaming and accommodation under one roof, the experience doesn’t have to end when the final dice are rolled. Players can stay on site, relax at the bar and enjoy the social side of the 40K community after the day’s games.
Combined with the opportunity to meet, play and learn from members of the Art of War team, we’re aiming to deliver more than just another tournament. This is a premium, competitive 40K weekend that’s as enjoyable off the table as it is on it.
